The Evergreen Advantage
There are so many LCO's (lawn care operators). Why choose us over other LCO's?
- We are licensed, and have been for over a decade. Many smaller operators don't bother getting licensed. That means they probably don't have the training to diagnose problems and make correct applications. It also means they can't purchase the same products we can. Last, but definitely not least, it is illegal to apply any pesticide for compensation without a license.
- We have the ability to mix on-site. We are one of the only companies who have this ability. Most LCO's just have one or two large 200-300 gallon tanks on their trucks. They fill it in the morning and spray until it's empty - then they refill it with the same mix. With other LCO's, every yard gets exactly the same solution regardless of whether it needs it, or if there is something better.
- We use a lot of dry, slow-release granule fertilizer. Though we may occasionally use a liquid fertilizer(there are certain nutrients that are absorbed better in liquid form), most of our applications include a granular slow-release feeding. There are many advantages with this delivery system: It allows us to apply more nitrogen, it eliminates the potential for fertilizer burn, and it feeds slowly through the roots - as nature intended.
- We are local, and owner operated. There is no chain of management to work up through. If you're not sure about the advantage here, check our testimonials and see what our clients say. If you should ever have a problem or question, one call can get you to an owner who cares about you as a customer. Your yard and your satisfaction reflect directly on us, and we take that very seriously.
- Knowledge. We know local soils, pests, weeds, diseases, and growing cycles. With most LCO's you get a lawn tech who generally has only about a year of experience (after one season most of them move on, or up into management). Because we are owner operated, we have a working collection of knowledge and data, and as time passes during your tenure with us, we personally become more and more familiar with the ins and outs of YOUR yard.
