Additional Spraying Services

Dormant Oil Application

Safe and effective, destroys harmful insects before they hatch or become active. A light horticultural oil is applied to suffocate pests and eggs. Recommended for roses, fruit trees, and evergreens.

Cost is $35 and up.

Summer/Late Summer/Fall   Tree & Shrub Sprays

Certain trees and shrubs may need more than the one included spray for optimal health. You may add a shrub and tree spray to any of your scheduled visits. Plants that struggle with mites (evergreens) & roses (for aphids and weevil) often benefit from a summer & late summer spray. Fruit trees benefit from adding the summer and fall sprays, as do plants susceptible to root weevil (euonymus, laurel, rhododendron, and lilac).

Cost is $35 and up.

MERIT® Applications

Our BASIC package does include insect control as needed to control existing insects.

We highly recommend adding a MERIT® treatment for those lawns with a history of insect damage. MERIT® will actually prevent insect damage against sod webworm, grubs and billbugs.

Cost is $15 per 1,000 sq ft.

Fungus and Disease Control

We can treat for a wide variety of fungi and plant diseases, including Necrotic Ring Spot, Summer Patch, Fusarium Blight, Fairy Ring, Snowmold, Aspen Leaf Spot, Fire Blight, Powdery Mildew, and Rust. These treatments will be most effective when coupled with proper cultural practices. We will be happy to give instructions on cultural practices.

Necrotic Ring Spot can devastate a lawn.

Maintenance Services

Core Aeration

Over time your soil becomes compacted, especially the top 2” - making it difficult for air, water, and nutrients to reach the root-zone where they're needed. Core aeration pulls out plugs of thatch and compacted soil - allowing water, air, and nutrients to more directly contact the roots. Aeration also plays an important role in thatch and disease control. We recommend annual aeration for most soils, for heavily compacted (high traffic) or heavy clay soils, we recommend spring and fall aerations.

Cost is $35 for a typical lawn.

Mycorrhizal Fungi Inoculation

These amazing fungi form a symbiotic relationship with plants by actually tapping-into and expanding the root systems! Mycorrhizal fungi are found on every continent except Antarctica, and allow plants to colonize harsh terrestrial climates. Those found naturally in the soil here in residential areas are usually destroyed in the home-building/ landscaping process.

Compared side by side: Bentgrass after 10 days without water.
The soil in the pot on the right was inoculated with Mycorrhizal Fungi.

Mycorrhizal Fungi:

  • Increase root-mass (typically by over 30%)
  • Increase drought tolerance
  • Fight disease
  • Build soil structure
  • Save Water

Compare Inoculated root-mass (right)
to untreated (left)

How is it applied?

A blend of eight different mycorrhizal fungi are added to an organic mixture of bone-meal, iron, and sea-kelp. The mixture is freeze-dried and applied to turf after core aeration. The application is only needed once ever. As long as plants exist in the landscape, so will the fungi.

Cost is generally $24 per 1,000 sq ft, plus aeration.

Weekly Mowing

Whether you are having the neighbors over for a summer BBQ - or just relaxing with the family, it just feels nicer on a fresh, evenly mowed and meticulously trimmed and edged lawn.

Our crews, polite and professional, come weekly on a scheduled day and give your lawn the weekly attention it needs.

Mowing at proper height with freshly sharpened blades, we use TORO PROLINE® commercial grade equipment. This translates into higher blade speeds (over 19,000fpm) which leaves a smoother cut. It also means fewer breakdowns and increased reliability.

You work hard enough Monday-Friday, why work all day Saturday?

We can keep most lawns manicured for $25-$30/week.
